Business Manager

Andy joined Read in March 2006 as Business Manager, a newly created role to continue some of the duties of both the retiring Accounts Manager, Lesley Gibson, and the founder of the company, Graham Read. His previous 23 years of industry experience was gained in Senior Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Employers Agent and Commercial management roles with building contractors, house builders and in private practice.

Andy has gained his management skills across numerous public and private sector projects as well as in the speculative housing sector. He has an extensive knowledge of a wide range of various forms of contract and also a thorough technical knowledge. Andy has also built up an invaluable understanding of the internal workings of SME companies and the relationships with clients, design teams and supply chains, having spent time on all sides of the team
