Period: 7 Years

Read have an ongoing flexible relationship with Knauf on both their Sandycroft, Deeside and St Helens sites and are now a much valued customer of ours.

This association goes back for 7 years and in that time we have established an excellent working relationship based on quality, communications, trust and an amicable proactive "team" approach. The schemes are all bespoke in nature and vary in size and complexity from minor works through to the new storage yard / trailer park at the St Helens site which was completed in at a total cost of £676,000. Both parties through experience know exactly how the other operates and this enables schemes to be commenced with a very short lead in period. An essential benefit to Knauf to ensure that they are able to operate to full capacity at all times.

Gritter Depot, Ruthin, Circa £480,000

Client: Denbighshire County Council

Period: 26 weeks

The  Administrative building and Gritter Shed, combined both Commercial and Industrial works. Delivered with Zero accidents our Health and Safety auditors KPI for this contract exceeded the company average. End of contracts defects, managed by our Customer Care Manager where described as minimal. The end users enjoy the benefit of an excellent facility.

Veterinary Building, Circa £458,000

Client: Chester Zoo

 

One of the many "off show" developments completed for another of our repeat clients. A typically bespoke building with many unique features which required close attention to detail by both our highly skilled operatives and numerous supply chain members. Basically an Animal Hospital which included a high level of hygienically clean finishes to many areas.

  • Sympathetically phased to ensure the comfort and well being of both sick animals and the Jaguars in the nearby external enclosures.

Barlow UK Ltd, £600K

Working for our Supply Chain is clear evidence of the mutual respect between Client and Customer, and Customer and Client. Barlow’s selection of ourselves to deliver this strategically important project to Barlow’s is testament to the confidence our supply chain has in our ability to deliver. Your Client  has a unique insight into your business; and this knowledge proved to be a key element in the award of this contract.

Gobowen Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry, Circa £275,000

Client: Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt NHS Trust

Period: 16 weeks

Funded by the Air Ambulance Service, the helipad was built to cater for day and night scheduled landings at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt orthopaedic hospital. The project included a 110M covered walkway from the helipad to the hospital, special consideration for spinal injuries ensured patients could be transported safely and smoothly.

Installation of special aviation lighting kept the helipad available for use 24 hours a day, which may even be used for military training in the future. New access roads support the helipad providing an efficient infrastructure for the ambulances, as well as car parking facilities for staff and the public.
