Lea Hall Farm, Circa £640,000
Yet another successfully completed conversion project for the Grosvenor Estate at Aldford, Chester. The latest conversion contract at Lea Hall Farm was recently completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards as required by both the client and user alike.
The works involved the full re-roofing of existing barns and the introduction of timber floors supported on a steel frame structure erected within the existing walls. Thanks to sensitive internal design and the use of highly skilled operatives, the completed office accommodation successfully blends traditional and modern finishes to provide a working environment that is comfortable, functional and aesthetically pleasing. All this in addition to ensuring that the Victorian buildings are preserved for the benefit of future generations.
In addition Ground Source heat pumps have been employed to enhance the green credentials of the building.

Woodhouse Farm, Circa £220,000
What a privilege to deliver a project with many rewarding challenges and significant personal pleasure. Our Site Manager, Mike Gannon retired at the end of this project and commented “What a privilege to end my working life with Read on such a project, pure delight.”

Smithy Farm, Circa £580,000
The conversion of this redundant farm for Grosvenor Estates in Cheshire presented a unique opportunity to combine both Read’s traditional skill set and innovation. Traditional skills underpinned the visual structure, all supported by hidden innovation and technology, in this sympathetically renovated project.

The Enterprise Centre Brymbo, Circa £200k
The design and build requirements of this internal fit out project, afforded the opportunity to fully assess the business needs of Read, and through the engagement of all staff the office relation and official opening was a total success. Performance measure was used to measure staff satisfaction, Read's Directors thoughts proved correct; this was indeed an exceptionally well received project. (In this case albeit for an internal client, and all the better to obtain excellent end user feedback.) We are indeed very proud of the resources, functionality and comfort of our Head Office.
