Collaborative construction partnership project for local community
March 30, 2011Penyffordd Memorial Institute recently benefited from a collaborative partnership between Read and Hanson’s Cement manufacturing facility in Padeswood; providing an extended car park facility to support an enlarged usage of the Institute, this project supported the local community in providing significant improvements to parking facilities.
Historically, the overspill car parking extended to a muddy field, however with the new facility in place the needs of the local community have significantly benefited from this collaborative intervention.
Committee member; Mrs Desimar Hodge co-ordinated the works on behalf of the Institute Committee. “Our request to both Read Construction and Hanson was greeted with total commitment to support the community. We are exceptionally fortunate to receive such significant support. The improved facilities will benefit the community for generations to come, and significant legacy to both Read and Hanson’s intervention. On behalf of the Institute Committee and community at large, we thank both Read Construction and Hanson for their total support of improvements to community facilities.”
Read’s Managing Director, Richard Heaton personally managed and co-ordinated the project. "The works will clearly provide a significant benefit to the community at large and we are delighted to have supported this project. It was a pleasure to work with Hanson in facilitating significant improvements to a deserving and well used community facility.”
