Read’s new website hits 150,000 viewed pages

June 21, 2011

Since its launch 5 months ago, the Read website has grown into a valuable business asset, not only in terms of marketing, but in terms of having a central hub of information for its business activities, including achievements for the business and its people, project profiles with stories from team members and clients, and enhanced client communications and interactions, including a recently added live streaming webcam for its £6.4M new school building in Connah’s Quay for the pupils to view progress and witness milestone events, live.

Damien Heaton, IT and Business Systems Support, said “Using Google Analytics we can see how many people visit the website, how long they stay, what content they are viewing and more. We considered the user experience and employed an information architect to plan the presentation of our huge portfolio. Already, we can see users are staying on the website on average 2 minutes extra per visit compared to the old website and are visiting more pages and going deeper into the website, which is great as we are keen to demonstrate our capabilities to all at any opportunity”.

150,000 page views is a significant achievement in Read’s overall online marketing strategy. Read are considering investing further into its online identity by engaging Social Media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Richard Heaton, Managing Director said “We have always recognised the importance of building relationships with our clients and pride ourselves on our client retention record which brings glowing testimonials and prestigious awards. As the world moves online it’s obvious new relationships can be built like never before, businesses have to demonstrate their communications capabilities at all levels and as new generations start to come through using these social platforms, we want to be positioned correctly.”
