Ian joined Read Construction in April 2006 as a Contract Support Manager having subsequently undertaken roles working for regional contractors as a joiner, site manager and contracts manager, together with many years self employed and a period in education, teaching at a local technical college. These appointments have furnished him with a broad spectrum of management skills from working on a variety of construction projects in many aspects of the industry including housing, public sector and commercial property.

Since joining Read, Ian has worked to develop his role and systems to support his duties as Customer Care and Minor Works Manager, which include management of issues and works during the defects liability period, contracts management of minor works projects and leading the selection, appointment and development of apprentices.

The effectiveness of Ian’s role is demonstrated through the volume of repeat client business.
