It was, on the whole, a satisfactorily collaborative process.
Gareth Jones was employed by Read Construction as the site manager for the construction of a new £545,000 engineering block at Walford and North Shropshire's Walford campus, near Baschurch. The project, although a new build, was not entirely straightforward, in that it had to be constructed during term time, which presented numerous health and safety concerns, but also because the timescale for completion and budget available were restrictive.
Gareth quickly established a good rapport with all the College representatives involved in the project and displayed a good hands on approach - he would often be found physically working on the construction process itself, as well as supervising other contractors involved.
Throughout the construction phase, he was found to be honest as well as hard working, and at all times kept in view the constraints of the project, working with the College to ensure that the building could be completed on time, and within the budget envelope allocated. It was, on the whole, a satisfactorily collaborative process, in which Gareth played a leading part.
