Recently voted as the UK’s best Animal Attraction in the 2014 Group Travel Awards, Chester Zoo are continuing their development and enhancement of the visitor experience with the appointment of Read Construction to the second phase of the Islands project – reported to be the biggest and most ambitious development in UK zoo history.
Read have a long and successful history of partnership with Chester Zoo – a relationship extending back over 10 years, having delivered over 20 projects including The Jaguar House, Butterfly House, Island In Danger, Tsavo Café and Elephant Enclosure. The most recent of which was the Jubilee Quarter around the main entrance, developed to commemorate the Queens Jubilee celebrations.
