Read Construction have announced their nominated charity for 2020 will be Nightingale House Hospice.
The news comes as the construction company recently handed over phase one of the modernisation project, which includes an expanded Day Service Centre.
Read will kick start the year by supporting the hospice’s new Christmas Tree Collection campaign which will see companies in our local area collect trees from households who have made a pre-paid donation directly to the hospice to have their used tree collected.
Nightingale House Fundraiser, Sam Amis said:
“We are thrilled to be their chosen charity and are really looking forward to fundraising with Read staff next year. We are a local charity which relies on the support of our community to continue to provide specialist care for patients and their families facing a life limiting illness. Local businesses, such as Read, make a big difference and will help us to continue to provide our specialist care in 2020.”
Kasia Pugh, Engagement Manager at Read said:
“We are delighted to be supporting Nightingale House Hospice in 2020 as our charity of the year. We have some exciting plans ahead to raise money for this fantastic cause, which has touched so many lives across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch."
The fundraising has been kickstarted with the annual Christmas donation to the hospice, which is sent in lieu of Christmas cards. Other fundraising activities will include cake sales, dress down Fridays and a charity fun day all in aid of Nightingale House.
If you would like to give your support to the Christmas Tree Collection, please contact hospice fundraiser Sam Amis on 01978 314 292.
