Read cement their continued successful relationship with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) with the recent completion of the Llangollen Health Centre project.
This latest project with BCUHB involved the demolition of the former River Lodge Hotel and construction of a new two storey primary health care unit within the site. The Design and Build project combines modern innovative design with local materials and traditional construction techniques to deliver purpose built health care services for Llangollen and the surrounding area including GP and consulting rooms, pharmacy provision, reception and waiting area.
Read Business improvement Manager, Alex Read commented: “The healthcare sector is an important work stream for Read and we are looking to continue building relationships with repeat local clients such as BCUHB, with whom we have recently also completed approx. £1m of minor works at Wrexham Maelor and are currently tendering for the £5m Flint Medical Centre”
Read Managing Director, Richard Heaton, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Betsi Cadwaldar to bring this project to reality. We are confident that the users of the facility will be delighted with the work that was done. Read look forward to working with the Client in the future.”
During the Llangollen Health Centre project, Read’s team embraced the modern collaborative added value agenda to maximise local benefit and value through community engagement events, local educational support and local investment through employment and procurement.
