ON TIME - Delivery of rural projects in the mountains of North Wales present many constraints and challenges. Restricted access, adverse weather and the absence of a local supply chain were all considerations that Read managed through effective risk and constraint scheduling to ensure the programme was delivered and the project was handed over and fully operational ahead of the client’s Easter holiday peak visitor period.

LOCAL DELIVERY - Read have delivered projects across North Wales and North West England for over 25 years and have established sustainable supply chains across the region. By deploying local managers to projects, local knowledge is organically delivered to the management of our projects. Our Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor lived within 15 miles of the project and despite the rural location, delivered over 75% of the project value within 30 miles of the scheme.

QUALITY - Read delivery teams deliver consistently high quality projects by managing in accordance with the businesses ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System. Based on LEAN construction principles, this system ensures suppliers and subcontractors works are managed and delivered in accordance with Read’s Zero defect objectives.
