Primary School Design and Build extension and remodeling project awarded as part of a bundle of Wrexham school improvements under the 21C Schools programme, through the North Wales Collaborative Framework.
ENGAGING - Throughout the project, the site team delivered a programme of educational engagement activities with the school pupils. This included a site tours, Eco visits and a Health and Safety visit from industry safety mascot Ivor Goodsite.
DELIVERING BEST VALUE - By working collaboratively to manage the budget cost plan with the client, Read's team identified best value design options that generated a budget saving across the bundle of 4 school improvement projects. This allowed additional works to be completed to the schools within the overall cost plan target, further enhancing the client and end user value offering.
LOCAL INVESTMENT - As a local SME, Read are committed to delivering maximum local value. As signatories of Wrexham Council's Employer Pledge, we promote local labour and business opportunities resulting in over 80% of the project value being spent locally.
