Refurbishment, alteration and extension of former hotel complex to provide purpose built residential activity centre for KS2 school pupils. A new 2 storey dorm extension, sympathetically extends the original 1870's building with on-site outdoor activities and internal problem solving activity rooms.

The original scope of works was extended through award of additional work elements totaling over £1.5m - evidencing the effectiveness of our service delivery and best-value project delivery.
LOCAL DELIVERY - Read believe in supporting the local economy by delivering works through local suppliers and subcontractors. 92% of the project value was spent within a 30 mile radius of site, with over 20 subcontract and supply organisations. 100% of the subcontractors engaged on the project were SME organisations employing local labour and maximising local reinvestment.
COLLABORATION - By collaboratively working with the client and their design team to value manage elements of the scheme, savings were identified and delivered on early elements of work, allowing additional works to be instructed with cost certainty. Read QS teams openly engage to propose alternatives that meet performance specifications whilst providing best whole life value.
