ECOLOGICAL PROTECTION - Major developments in rural locations often incite significant local interest. With bats, badgers and a brook within the grounds care and attention was necessary in ensuring the works met with the ecologists recommendations and works were sequenced to avoid disturbance.

QUALITY - In addition to its higher education function, the facility renovation was designed to cater for residential activity breaks, corporate development, weddings, etc. with the availability of 97 beds and fully equipped bars and kitchen. This demanded a high quality of finish, which was achieved by sympathetic restoration of original features and enhancing the existing with complimentary modern elements.
