AWARD WINNING - Robust detailing and right first time quality delivered throughout all work packages ensured that the airtightness testing was achieved first time at a test result of 2.65m3/hr.m2. Combined with the sustainably resourced glulam timber frame and timber SIPs panel wall and roof construction, the building won LABC All Wales award for Best Sustainable Development.

LOCAL SOURCING - The sustainable criteria of the development was supported through the BREEAM excellent rating, which was delivered by ensuring considerate best practice site management. The delivery of 80% of the value by Local supply chain members within 15 miles of the project demonstrated the effectiveness of Read's robust supply chain management processes.
