Value:          £1,100,000
Duration:   37 Weeks

CONSIDERATE - In addition to the 190m2 extension, which equated to approx. one third additional teaching space, alteration and refurbishment was undertaken in over half the existing school areas. With the school occupied throughout, the need for planning and on-time completion of work phases was paramount to the resultant on programme completion of the project.

SAFE - Read have operated in live school premises undertaking all manner of extension, refurbishment and alteration works for over 20 years, and have never had an accident or incident involving a pupil, member of staff or visitor. This impeccable record results from a robust set of management process that are administered by experienced and pre-active delivery teams to ensure appropriate planning and consideration for Health and Safety and rigorous auditing by internal and external safety consultants.

SUSTAINABLE - The rural location of this project presented challenges for access to supply chain availability, which were alleviated by targeting local products and suppliers and allocating smaller work packages to maximise engagement opportunities for smaller local organisations.
